Welcome back to Valdell!!
I've been trying to post this update for a few days now but between a baby and tech probs, it wasn't happening!
(Note to self: don't go to a different tab when bulk uploading pictures to Imgur, slyndsey)
Anyways, no time to waste when there is a sleeping infant!

Last Time:
Valerie moved into an old house on the north side of town. She spent some money remodeling, and used her genie lamp to fund furnishing. She is finally settling down in Valdell and feels like the new start is exactly what she needed. She changed her hair and bought new clothes, too! The first night in her house, though, she was burgled. Poor Val can't catch a break. She met Benjamin Maranda while visiting some lots in the community. They only share one bolt but have hit it off, it seems, even though there was a mix up with their date and they accidentally stood each other up. Perhaps they are both lonely and will come together anyways.
This Time: Go on a blind date every night!
Back to the Northside, with Val's cute quaint house

Off to work! Valerie has worked her way up pretty high in politics

With a promotion and no one to celebrate it with, Val decides to try online dating and connects with a local matchmaking service.
She is a little hesitant, so she decided not to spend *too* much money on it.

With the night still young, Val decided to invite over her friend Aimee Winkwell. Some girl time would be better than a lousey man!
...but Aimee brought a man along anyways.

This time Val decided to spend a bit more!
This time this handsome guy, Christopher, was delivered

Val decided to head to the cinema and shuddered at the thought of her and Christopher together lmao
Val met some more townies but no one *clicked* like she is hoping for.
Hungry and a bit disgruntled, she decided to head to BAMBOO for a meal and a drink.
She ordered the chef's recommendation and she was brought cake lmao
Time to eat her feelings, I guess
A table over this gentleman (by Sterina) noticed Val's dissatisfaction with the cake and said she should've ordered the omelette
This guy (by Lesyasun) *stares*
Val had her cake and ate it too, and got some fried chicken for dessert
There was something about this omelette guy. Val decided to shoot her shot and asked him on a date!
He was very flattered, and said yes, but had to run. They would have to go out some other time
Poor Val had her drink, alone :(
The next morning, Valerie met Thomas Poplar. They had a nice chat about the weather before Val decided to invite him in for brunch
And why not invite some more friends along

This guy got a little too confident after some mimosas and thought getting naked and jumping in Val's bed would be a good way to seduce her lmao

Valerie was surprised at the sweet card Daniel had sent.. Their date was so short she didn't even know his name until she saw it on the card.
But he did bail pretty quickly... let's try some more blind dates

Still determined to find love, Val bites the bullet and invites over omelette man, Daniel
And what was that... a connection? A spark? 2 bolts?!
They talked for hours

They had a really great time! Val went to bed that night feeling hopeful
After work the next day, Val decided to invite Daniel over for dinner
He loved her food and said it was better than the omelette at the restaurant, by far!

Valerie: *sighs from happiness, and laughs* Wow, I can't believe this is happening! Are you sure we aren't moving too fast? I don't even know what you do for a living!

I literally thought about this round for weeks after I played it!!!
He's the matchmaker!
Does this mean he sabotaged all of Valerie's dates in hopes of meeting her himself?
Or maybe he's just terrible at his job lmao
Either way, they are sweet. Guess we will see next time if he is a hopeless romatic like Val or a manipulative liar \_(ツ)_/
