My name is Lyndsey, I am 28, and this is where I post my updates for my BaCC, Valdell.
Valdell is a Build a City Challenge I started way back in March 2013! My love for this 'hood has grown tremendously over the years, and I still return to it after months and years of breaks. I almost lost it a couple times thanks to my harddrive getting fried, thank goodness I had a friend that was able to salvage my game.

Round 17
The new round brings some changes to the neighborhood! Not only are taxes increased this round (40%) but bills are also higher. University sims also have to pay minimum $5,000 simoleons to pay for their transfer to the new university. (Those $5k simoleons are returned and matched upon graduating, so sims have $10k to start their new life back in their home town.)
- 25+ new townies have been added!
- Businesses will now have their daily customer limit randomized between 1-35!
- New ROS challenges added
- If sims wish to open a business in Valyria, they must move there or own a vehicle for the commute!
- & probably more that I can't think of right now :P

Man it's always a fun time playing catch up with updates vs playing the game. :,)
I love sharing my game with you all, but mostly I love to do it for myself so I can go back and read my gameplay and be all nostalgic, so it is worth it! But difficult now that I have limited time.

Last Time: Eva and Walt grew into teens right away. Eva reminds me of Kaylynn Langerak a bit😛 Lillybelle decied she is actually going to sell the coffee business when the kids move out next round. Not much else.

Welcome back to Valdell!
Hope you're ready for this drama filled update hehe

Last Time: Alton brought Zoe and baby Ben home. A nursery was added to Marty's room upstairs. Things were a little cramped but they didn't seem to mind. Alton, Marty and Kim dove right back into their family life. Zoe, however, definitely felt a little out of place. She started bonding with the cats, then soon found herself pregnant again. Alton, on the other hand, was happy to have his wife and child at home. It gave him more freedom to slip out and go on dates with Aimee Winkwell, to finally satisfy his long time longing to fall in love with her. The two met for a simple dinner to "catch up," but soon they needed a place to go! Unable to bring Aimee home, the couple headed over to Roger, That! and had a few cheap beers before having some fun in the photobooth out back. Zoe gave birth to another boy, Kegan. Marty passed away and the house was devastated. Next season, Zoe needs to invite her Mom and sister over. And maybe call up Zula and see how she has been...

Long time no see. :)
I should be going to bed as I am halfway through pregnancy with my second baby boy at the moment, but I am fighting the exhaustion because I have had such an urge to play my beloved sims 2 again.
So!
This update features H&M lot by Lewcastle at MTS.
Last Time: Zula made her new apartment nice and cozy! She noticed a dog, Mips, still hanging around and decided to take her in. (Dalton Haverson’s old dog, starving outside of the apartments. Weird.) Anyways, Zula got right to work at her inherited business, H&M! Business was choatic, but she did well and the business reached rank 10! She was also offered a blind date by a customer, and Gretchen Bear, the town maid, appeared! She was straight but Zula changed her mind and got her in bed, lol. They are adorable together, we will see what happens in the future.

Today we are visiting the Perkin's family.
This update features a gorgeous house by Suratan and some sims by Lesyasun, Keoni and Kahlenas.
Last Time: All of the Perkins family came over for a pool party. The next day, Evan and Marlene grew into gorgeous young adults and headed off to uni. Next season, Gilbert or Quin will have to move in with their parents, or they'll have to move out for the old folks home.

Welcome back to Valdell!
We got hit with a terrible cold last week and my baby boy got croup. :( It was a long tough week with lots of sleepless nights.
I just wanted to play the sims so bad but ended up napping and/or heading to bed early any chance I got.
Glad that we are all feeling better and back into our normal routine again.
So!
Last Time with the Both's: The family moved into a bigger house! Still not quite big enough, especially with a third child on the way, but it is nice. Lizzie grew into a gorgeous teenager, and she knows it, too! Alana had another girl, who is a clone of Lizzie sadly, but still cute. Her name is Kiki. Alana is about to pop out their 3rd child, hopefully not a clone. At Strings & Things, Marisa was promoted to manager so Alana can stay home from work one extra day.
This Time: Day Out! Take every eligible sim out for a fun outing

This update features Triumph Gas Station by Fuzzyspork

Last Time: Iggy settled down into his tiny apartment downtown Valdell. He wasn't sure what to do with his life, so a dice was rolled and he landed on opening a convenience store! Which fits because his LTW is to reach the top of the slacker career. So, he purchased Triumph Gas Station and got to work. His little store opened well, positioned right between the university campus and town. It has reached rank 3. He still has a large loan to pay off, though... Meanwhile, Ig still has a childhood dream of marrying Allea Ghost. They are best friends with benefits, but he knows that rushing into marriage or anything isn't her style. (Or his, really.) He is fine to date around for a bit and see what happens.

Welcome back to Valdell!
This update features Devon Mifsud by Maranatah
Last Time: Tanya and her mother have settled into their new, giant farmhouse. Both ladies did some shopping over the season and had some furniture and paintings to help fill the empty spaces. Tanya and especially Victoria were devastated over Dalton Haverson’s passing. His unexpected death put the future on Tanya’s mind… she wasn’t having much luck with love. Mostly she was afraid to take the next step with anyone… but his death convinced her to take a leap and she called up Devon Misfud, who she did feel some love for, and she asked him to marry her. He said yes, very happily! Tanya was immediately pregnant, lol, so they married on the night of her third trimester. The couple now have a cute baby boy named Casey, who rolled technophobe and loser, ope.

Hello and welcome back to Valdell!
The Sims 2 bug has bit me once again! I have actually been working on a new neighborhood for a bacc to play on stream/upload to YT and after a few days of just working on placing trees and neighborhood decor, I had to actually play some of the game. I really don't like to be more than 2 updates behind on posting or else I forget about what happened so here we are. :)

Last Time: Noel’s brother, Colin, has moved in with the family after getting kicked out of his house! He settled down in the ‘shed’ outside of the garage. Noel was happy to have him, even though Marnie doesn’t like Colin at all. They lost $10k of their money but it wasn’t long before they got that back. Colin was able to pay off his loans thanks to the 3 adult incomes! Both Noel and Marnie reached the top of their career tracks, and Colin even focused more on his business. I think he is doing much better outside of his relationship with Dolly, too. Orla and Harli focused on school, and Harli loves to work! Jamie grew into a toddler with the traits Family oriented and excitable, and later when he grew into a child, got the trait friendly. Overall this is an over-achieving family! Lots of birthdays next round!

- Okay I killed off Uncle Colin because that glitch was concerning. I mean don't get me wrong, Valdell is a mess with lots of things broken but that one really freaked me out idk
- I think I played Harli and Orla as teens for like 3 rounds so it seems so weird that they are gone and off to uni now!
- The house feels so empty after so much death D: Maybe we will finally get puppies next time

My son, who is 9.5 months old now, has started pulling up to stand on his own now and I am not ready for it. He in constantly trying to stand everywhere and it is so cute but oh so nerve wracking, hahaha. He needs to slow down for his mama. :,)

Happy spooky season as well. I'm dressing my baby up as a pumpkin, keeping it classic for his first Halloween. :)

Last Time: Such an adorable family. The landscaping was redone, and it looks marvelous! Neil grew into a kiddo and is pretty cute. Still looks a lot like his Mom. Annaleise had her second baby as well, the night of the new bowling alley opening! This time it is a girl, named Adina. She is a good mix of both Annaleise and Mark, and will be their last child. The main focus now is growing their two businesses for the kids in the future, and puppies of course!
Also, Theo and Annaleise are fighting after Mark flirted with another sim at Andrew Bittner's party two updates ago...

Hello again!
Squeezing in a lil update tonight before heading to bed.
Some image quality might be different with different pictures... I updated my graphics card and had some issues resetting everything. :P
Anyways!
This update features Orange Apartments by Liv
Last Time: Whelp, the ROS they rolled to break up seemed to fit perfectly with this couple that has spent their lives in a trauma filled/toxic relationship. After their boys grew into teens, Colin and Dolly agreed that they could see other people, as long as they both kept quiet about it. They both have cheated in the past and thought maybe it would keep them together. However, when Colin brought his coworker home and made out with her on the couch after the three had dinner together, Dolly had finally had enough. She was deeply hurt and kicked Colin out! Colin was shocked at her reaction but packed up and moved in with his brother, Noel Stillson. Meanwhile, literally 2 hours later, Dolly went into labor and had a baby girl that she named Journey. She looked around at the house full of memories and decided it was time to start over somewhere else. So, she sold the house and moved to Valyria! Her and Journey settled into an apartment and Dolly finally felt like she could exhale, for the first time in her adult life.
This Time: Call 1-10 sims and invite them over!

Hello!!
It's been awhile but I am back, posting and playing (and sometimes streaming!) the Sims 2 again and my heart feels a little bit fuller because of it.
My baby boy is 8 months old now and kind of a handful but I have made sure to carve time out of my day to stream and game and just take some time for myself again.
I played this round about 6 months ago in the midst of newborn delirium so I don't remember it too well, so this will mostly be picture spam lol
So let's continue. :)

Last Time: Just a happy family! Andrew and Natsumi are true popularity sims and enjoy throwing parties frequently. The family adopted a puppy, Binks, as well as a female dog Rosa, hoping to have puppies someday! The boys, Olly and Kyran, grew into cute kids. Maybe another baby? Maybe not.
This Time: Make like Rabbits! Sim must woohoo nonstop for the night

Last Time:
Valerie moved into an old house on the north side of town. She spent some money remodeling, and used her genie lamp to fund furnishing. She is finally settling down in Valdell and feels like the new start is exactly what she needed. She changed her hair and bought new clothes, too! The first night in her house, though, she was burgled. Poor Val can't catch a break. She met Benjamin Maranda while visiting some lots in the community. They only share one bolt but have hit it off, it seems, even though there was a mix up with their date and they accidentally stood each other up. Perhaps they are both lonely and will come together anyways.

A table over this gentleman (by Sterina) noticed Val's dissatisfaction with the cake and said she should've ordered the omelette

Val had her cake and ate it too, and got some fried chicken for dessert

There was something about this omelette guy. Val decided to shoot her shot and asked him on a date!

He was very flattered, and said yes, but had to run. They would have to go out some other time

The next morning, Valerie met Thomas Poplar. They had a nice chat about the weather before Val decided to invite him in for brunch

He loved her food and said it was better than the omelette at the restaurant, by far!

Welcome back to Valdell!
I shuddered a a bit when the Haverson family rolled for #3 in the round, lmao. I knew it was going to be chaotic with 5 toddlers. :,) But, we got through it!
This update features a lovely farmhouse by Katatty, Susan Bluejay by Keoni, and townie appearances by Lilith-sims, Sterina, and Lesyasun. :)

Last Time: [previous update] This round started with a summer storm. As the rest of the family was getting ready for the day, Forest walked outside to check on the garden. The hail was just getting started but he wanted to grab the ripe tomatoes so they wouldn't get damaged by the storm. Suddenly, a softball size chunk of hail struck Forest in the head, killing him instantly. The family mourned his death, and he had a lovely funeral before being buried at Valdell Cemetery. By the weekend, Gordon and Marie decided it was time for them to finally tie the knot! The family walked to the church next door and had a beautiful time. Gordon took Marie's last name. Meanwhile, Irene grew up into the most adorable toddler, with the traits commitment issues and evil. Oh, boy. Then it was time for the teenagers to grow up and go off to university. Ash and Ellanor are both gorgeous sims, with high hopes for their futures. Ash wants to go into the medical field someday, and Ellanor wants to get into photography. Marie soon found herself pregnant again, and has had a horrible time and cannot wait for this baby to be out of her! Gordon got a couple promotions. Susan spent some time harvesting veggies in the garden, and hopes next season to start her farmer's market. She looks forward to Gordon's sister, Violet, and her quads, moving in next season and she hopes Violet will help her run the stand. Susan hopes to have a family of her own, soon, too.
This Time: Bonus For a Job Well Done! Add $100-$50,000 to funds!!! (They got $300 lmao)

This time we are catching up with Amalthea Sellens. Thea is a playable now thanks to an ROS event last round. She has since moved out into her own place and is eager to start life in the new shopping district, Valyria.

Last Time: [previous update] Amalthea showed up at Levi Gonzaga's door one night after getting kicked out of townie apartments. She needed a place to crash for a few days, and Levi of course let her move in! This got quite chaotic in the household though, since lots of babies were born, so Thea moved out the end of the round, ready for some peace and quiet.

Last Time: [previous update] Kiley grew into a beautiful young adult. She decided she will take over mayor after university. Harry grew into a teenager and rolled the unstable trait, and is into boys. He doesn't really care about school too much. Glen enjoyed working in the garden. Jasmine grew into an elder.
