Valdell - Round 17 - 10. Stillson

Hello and welcome back to Valdell!
The Sims 2 bug has bit me once again! I have actually been working on a new neighborhood for a bacc to play on stream/upload to YT and after a few days of just working on placing trees and neighborhood decor, I had to actually play some of the game. I really don't like to be more than 2 updates behind on posting or else I forget about what happened so here we are. :)
Household 10 out of 40 in round 17!

This round features a house by Fuzzyspork and a sim by deedee_sims 

Last Time: Noel’s brother, Colin, has moved in with the family after getting kicked out of his house! He settled down in the ‘shed’ outside of the garage. Noel was happy to have him, even though Marnie doesn’t like Colin at all. They lost $10k of their money but it wasn’t long before they got that back. Colin was able to pay off his loans thanks to the 3 adult incomes! Both Noel and Marnie reached the top of their career tracks, and Colin even focused more on his business. I think he is doing much better outside of his relationship with Dolly, too. Orla and Harli focused on school, and Harli loves to work! Jamie grew into a toddler with the traits Family oriented and excitable, and later when he grew into a child, got the trait friendly. Overall this is an over-achieving family! Lots of birthdays next round!
This Time: Family Day… whatever that means lol

Marnie's husband, Noel, is inside tying to persuade their doggo to try for puppies.
I wish I could remember pet names but alas I never do. :P

Anyways, it was Uncle Colin's birthday, so he invited over a few of his friends. Including the woman who broke up his marriage


Lyndsey Blondie by Deedee was also in attendance


As well as Uncle Colin's son, Ross Redfield




He grew up well, despite his disasterous life :P

Later that evening, it was time for another birthday a party!

anyways it looks like it was more of an awkward experience for both of them based on their faces lmao


Anyways after the party ended the girls were off to university!

Uncle Colin took advantage of the empty room and moved right in

The next day I plopped down a tub in the back for Marnie to wash the dogs
I took this pic then noticed I had already put a tub down behind her for this very reason lol


... that's what happens when you eat rotten food, dummy!!




Colin brought Lyndsey Blondie home from work again

Then I realized it was Marnie's LTW to reach a golden anniversary, so a party was thrown!




This is when I realized that every sim Colin talked to that night, he fell in love with???
I don't like that glitch :O


Anyways, the party was a success!
Noel loved being around family


Noooo, the food poisoning!!


Luckily Noel had wished for the power to cheat death from his young adult years. Yay!


But then Grim sighed and moved on to the cat :(

I was shocked Colin left his business to his brother and not his son
Or his daughter that he doesn't have a relationship with
I guess they go to family member with highest relationship? Not sure


Jamie wasn't having a very good birthday


His birthday party was cancelled and these three decided to celebrate on their own


Jamie is just like his mother, I see

Noel decided to go ahead and sell the business he inherited from Colin






$24,000 went to the town for taxes, and $20,000 was set aside to cover the girls' university costs.
With the addition of the new university, students must now pay a minimum tuition of $5,000 per student. This money is then doubled and returned to them upon graduation. So a sim who paid $5k will get $10k at gradutation upon moving back to Valdell. This incentive is to encourage students to stay in the area and not move away to Sulani or something.
So, Orla and Harli will both get to start with $20,000 when they graduate.
I also like this rule because most students will only get to start with $10k when they graduate now, which will make things more challenging.

 - Okay I killed off Uncle Colin because that glitch was concerning. I mean don't get me wrong, Valdell is a mess with lots of things broken but that one really freaked me out idk
- I think I played Harli and Orla as teens for like 3 rounds so it seems so weird that they are gone and off to uni now!
- The house feels so empty after so much death D: Maybe we will finally get puppies next time
