Valdell - Round 17 - 4. Bryne (Davis)

Welcome back to Valdell!
I am having issues with Dreamwidth so I hope this works. I am having to write my post on LJ then copy it over to Dreamwidth because for some reason it is not letting me use their Rich Text Editor. I mean I know some basic html but I really don't feel like typing out an entire post with only html lmao.
Featuring a house by alienpod and a new townie appearance by Keoni

Last Time: Davis graduated university and moved out on his own!
This Time: He gets 2 spins! He landed on Adopt 3 cats or dogs, and add another trait!
The new trait he rolled is Natural Chef. :)

Davis moved into this house by alienpod!
It has been remodeled a bit by the previous family that lived here.










It is minimally furnished, but I think it turned out pretty cute so far.
Minus the bathroom lol


I had no plans for Davis so he was given the LIFE dice roll to decide his fate! Career or business owner? What kind of business?
Well, he landed on "cafe"! I was going to have him buy a cafe in town that hasn't been opened in ages, but I forgot somebody inherited it and owns it, so..
And I thought about him opening a computer cafe, but wasn't really feeling that idea.
Then it hit me, a library! The town of Valdell doesn't have a public library!
Davis called up the mayor, Jasmine Holmquist, to discuss his idea right away.


Jasmine was in love with the idea of a public library being added to the town, and gave Davis a nice check for $40,000 simoleons to get him started.
As long as the new library was named after the contract with Mission State University, of course!
The loan was deducted from town funds.
(I did this by teleporting her to the lot and controlling her and was able to withdraw from her Deposit account on Monique's Hacked Computer. :D )


The build was a bit ambitious, so Davis still had to take out a nice $50k loan










So far, only the bottom floor is open to the public. Overtime it'll be renovated so that the second and third floors are for studying and reading, and the bottom will be cafe and food.




We should meet Davis officially :D

Davis started the day quite late here, and snuck off to the kids corner with some espresso


We were able to reach rank 1 though, so that's good!




Davis's computer was having problems, so he fixed it like I would, with a screwdriver to the screen lol


This stray kitty, Opal, walked by! And was soon adopted into the household :)




Davis said hello to new townie Benjamin Weeks by Keoni before heading back to work


And he miraculously reached rank 2, woo!

I was a bit stressed on the interests of Davis's massive loan, so off to digging it was!

Back at work, new townie alert! A newly generated Professor for the new university subhood, ooooh
And he is heart farting over Davis?!


It was love at first sight :O


Davis decided right then and there to ask the new stranger on a date
...with his snakeskin boots lmao


Hello?? I am amazed this townie that just has a nondefault face template, looks so similar to Davis, who is a 3rd gen sim! At least profile wise like same face! Weird
But also, guaranteed cute babies


It was difficult to get to know someone while also selling free public library tickets


At least money was made on their date


Back at home, another stray kitty walked by and was adopted into the household! I forgot this ones name


Davis decided it was time to throw a housewarming party! His uni friends and of course the new Professor Adrian Hibbs was invited

And he got a love letter! Professor Adrian must be in love with Davis tooooooo


Davis sure is smiling a lot more compared to the beginning of the update :D




Time for another date!
The couple met up at the new Founder's Park




Teens Creed Meadows and Mads Marius seemed to have found the hidden keg!


Creed got a bit drunk and started streaking around the park lmao
I need to find the link to that keg... It makes sims do crazy things sometimes, I have even had townies propose to each other!




The two headed back home for some privacy

I was making the same face as Davis at this point, I almost thought he was going to say no!

AND they rolled for a baby!!!
My same sex pregnancy mod doesn't like to work so if same sex couples woohoo, they have a 10% chance to roll a pregnancy!
Then I also roll for which sim gets pregnant, with a small chance that they both do. This time it was only one of them, sadly. We will see who it is next season.

- The library is surprisingly making money. I was and still am a bit stressed over those high interest payments. Once those add up, it's hard to pay them! You bet your booty the money Adrian brought went straight to loans lol
- We still need to adopt one more pet, ope! I was relying on strays and only two showed up while Davis was home
